What is PRX-T33?
PRX-T33 is a biorevitalization peel that stimulates skin cell regeneration and collagen production without exfoliating the uppermost layers of the skin, i.e., the epidermis. The PRX-T33 peel has a unique formula, which includes 33% TCA (trichloroacetic acid), 5% kojic acid, and hydrogen peroxide. When applied to the skin, PRX-T33 makes your facial skin look brighter and more glowing, stimulates collagen production, and reverses the signs of aging.
While most chemical peels have a TCA level of only 15 to 20%, PRX-T33 has 33% TCA content. That means PRX-T33 is even more effective in skin rejuvenation than other chemical peels. But despite a higher level of TCA, it doesn’t cause excessive side effects because the hydrogen peroxide modulates the TCA action and prevents desquamation, i.e., it prevents loss of the uppermost epidermis layer.

Your In-Office PRX-T33 Peeling Session

The first step of the PRX-T33 session is to cleanse your facial skin, following which the PRX-T33 peel is massaged onto your skin until it’s absorbed completely. You may need 2 to 5 applications of PRX-T33 in one session. Finally, your facial skin is washed and rinsed. The entire procedure concludes within 30 minutes.
Side Effects of PRX-T33
PRX-T33 is superior to most other chemical peels because it causes minimal post-treatment side effects. Your skin might look flushed, but this treatment doesn’t remove the superficial layer of the epidermis, so there are no major side effects, such as hyperpigmentation, discoloration, etc. You can resume your daily activities and work immediately. However, you will have to apply a prescribed moisturizer 2 to 3 times a day for a few days.
